In line with Irish Government guidelines we have closed our doors once again until February. We would like to thank all our guests, customers and friends for your support during this difficult time. We really look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Health & Safety

We have been accredited with the COVID19 Safety Charter, endorsed by Failte Ireland and the Government of Ireland. This involved all of our staff taking part in hygiene and safety control training, following the recommended cleaning and safety guidelines.

We have worked with the Irish Hotel Federation to develop comprehensive protocols and standards. Sanitisation stations have been installed in all key locations in the hotel and team areas. We carry an hourly touch point cleaning in all areas, all doors are held open where possible, and we have increased deep cleaning in all areas. You may choose not to have your room serviced during your stay, if so, please leave a Do Not Disturb sign on your door and inform reception. We will be happy to provide fresh linen and towels if required. 

Recommended PPE for our staff members is available including masks, increased handwashing stations for team members.


Social Distancing

We guide our guests and ask all guests and visitors to observe 2 meter social distancing. Floor markings and arrows are in place to allow smooth flow around public areas. Protective screens have been installed at reception and in the Wharf Traven. Access to the hotel lifts is strictly one person at a time or with a person from the same household. The use of stairs is encouraged where possible. We have rearranged physical layouts in all areas to facilitate social distancing.

All guests and staff members are required to wear face masks while in public areas.



Please bear in mind that table reservations are essential, you will have your table for a maximum of 1 hour and 45 minutes

  • Food served from 12.30 pm until 21.00
  • Maximum of 6 people per table
  • Multiple tables cannot be booked
  • If you would like to enjoy alcoholic beverages during your stay, you will be required to have a substantial meal too
  • All areas including bars and residents lounges must be vacated by 23.30

The Wharf Tavern menu is available online, physical disposable menus will be available on arrival to Wharf Traven. Breakfast will be served to you by a member of our team and you will be required to reserve a time slot at the booking stage or when you are checking in. Cashless payment is encouraged, by a card or a room charge.


International Travel  

Ireland will be following the European Union’s coordinated approach to travel restrictions in the context of COVID-19. This ‘traffic lights’ approach provides for regions across the EU and the UK to be categorised as green, orange, red or grey on the basis of the risk levels associated with COVID-19. A combined indicator map is updated weekly by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), based on agreed criteria, including the 14-day cumulative incidence rate, testing rate and testing positivity rates.
